I want to go and see a band perform at the NEC, but I'm not sure what's going to happen when I order the tickets.. Is there only seating and standing areas? And if I ask for seats do they just allocate you some or can you specify where you'd like to sit?

If you go the NEC website (http://www.necgroup.co.uk/) and click on the band you want to see, then click on *Buy a Ticket*, you'll be taken to the ticket factory, click on *more info* and that should take you to a page showing layout of the area, availability and price etc.

What band are you hoping to see ?

Fall Out Boy. The tickets aren't on sale yet though, and I can't find the information on the ticket factory's website
I bought some tickets a couple of weeks ago from the ticketfactory, but you have to wait until the tickets go on sale to see the seating arrangement. Once they are on sale, you pick a pricing band, and then a picture of the seating arrangments appears which show the areas within your band. You can then select your preferred seating block.

It's much better than the usual Ticketmaster process where you have no choice apart from a price range.

What about standing? Will I be close to the band if I get those tickets?
