it was fleetwood mac in 1969 with albatross

the only thing that comes close to being instrumental since then is 'ATB.... 9pm till i come' in 1999 the only words said are till i come/ change it and say till i come 2 or 3 times in the record
raggy is right that that was more recent than fleetwood mac that was 1973
still cant think of anything recent though
23rd September 1973
Simon Park Orchestra was Number 1 With Eye Level
This was the theme from Van Der Valk
think i found a recent one

Doop - Doop 19/3/1994
Flatbeat - Mr Ozio

3rd April 1999 for two weeks
And here it is - it went straight to No.1 after being used in the Levi ad

Silly me - Mr Oizo, not Ozio
Girls Aloud had a number one a while back

ok, so it wasn`t an instrumental, but it definately wern`t singing
Aaah, you've all overlooked that modern classic, "Axel F" by the one and only Crazy Frog...

If anyone can provide me with the, err... lyrics then I'll withdraw my contribution.

Ethel - that website hasn't been updated in over 4 years...

What words are in falt beat?
from memory i think it may have been Robert Miles - Children - which i think was in the mid 90's!
There are no words in flatbeat - the voices aren't on the single.
