On the long version, it sounds like Stuart A Staples singing, so I guess it's either Tindersticks or some of his solo stuff.

The track is Trying to Find a Home by tindersticks and can be downloaded from iTunes or GoMusic.ru

Took me a few days but found it in the end. Beautiful song.
