The adverts are credited to a London advertising agency called Soul Ltd.

Perhaps you could contact them via their website.

Question Author

Thanks again for the info, but still nothing on that artist or song but thanks still, dont hesitate to let me know anything useful thanks mate.

Hi mmmmmm,

I read a thread on on another website a few months ago which stated that Harveys had been using the same music on their adverts for at least a couple of years and that it was written and produced by Kevin Ferguson for the Boiler Room Music Company. Presumably the advertising agency you were given earlier would have the contact details for them.

But if you want the piece of music yourself please be prepared to be disappointed. For a similar questioner a couple of days ago I was able to trace the (non-commercially available) advertising music they wanted - but it was only 69 seconds long. What sounds great on an advert for 30-60 seconds may not have been designed to last much longer than that.

But best of luck with your search.

Question Author

Well I will look up kevin Fergusson, then at least i got somethin ay.

Thank you for your detailed meticulous reply Chelsea and at 3am in the morning to, thanks very much.

Question Author

Does the Kevin Ferguson track have a name, chelse, even if it is a minor 60 secs

would it still have a name if you or anyone else knows?

thannks for this websites great support

Seems like I'm not the only night owl my friend ! Lol

I honestly couldn't find a name for the piece (and believe me I looked !). I did try to reply much earlier in the evening but some spyware on my PC (Internet Optimizer - grrrrr !) wiped my response out so as I had to stay up late for work purposes I thought that I'd try again - sad as it makes me look at this hour of the morning.

As someone in another thread said on here yesterday these music production companies are quite cold - they give the advertising agency a CD with lots of their tunes/jingles on and they simply pick the one that suits them - usually there's no great naming strategy.

Question Author

what a shame

yeah I guess thats what they do,

you know I am 80% doing ma Uni work and 20% browsing. I guess on my break I would have to sleep all through the day.

Thanks still, if you know of anything in the future juss let me know on the site, thanks

Typical student, I bet that that 80%-20% ratio is the other way around though !!
Question Author

just so I check how sure are you that it is kevin ferguson.

I am talking about the current Harveys furniture ad, you know the one with the tall brunette and this man and kid with her, the main slow theme,

r u sure although

I think (if I am thinking of the right advert) it is by The Beloved and is maybe called Sweet Harmony. They are the lyrics anyway. It goes something like, Lets get together, right now, oh yeah, in sweet harmony la la la dooby doob doop. or something. hope that helps but i doubt it.

mmmmmmm,

I'm having problems posting today - any message over a few lines appears to time-out on me so I'll do this in a couple of parts -

If you go to -

http://www.visit4info.com/search/

Types 'Harveys' in the brand/product field and click on any of the first 4 or 5 pics to replay the ads - they all use the same music.

The following thread (at the bottom) is where I saw the reference to Kevin Ferguson -

http://forum.commercialbreaksandbeats.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=180&highlight=harveys+furniture

Admittedly its from a few months ago but I did see another reference stating that they had been using the same music for a couple of years so there's a fair chance its that one.

Obviously I can't be certain as I'm taking someone else's answer on this one. Perhaps you could post a message on that other site and ask if the person who gave the answer can verify its the same music that's being used on that visit4info.com site?

Question Author
I believe the below Sweet Harmony by The Beloved was done for the DFS ad definately. But still thanks as I could use that tune as well
Question Author

Very sorry the "sweet harmony" song, "Beloved" is from the Homebase advertisement.

The song comes from their 2002 album "Single File".

>>>I got one DIY/home improvement genre of ad mixed with the other.
