We've got tickets for a gig in Bristol at the Carling Academy. If on the ticket is states 7pm as the start time what time can we expect the doors to open? Is it generally an hour or two before?

it is usually a couple of hours beforehand so people can get their programmes/food/ merchandze and stuff, i thought your tickets wouuld state door openingtimes.
Going by my own experience, its usually doors open around 7pm, you goin get you mercahdise etc... the support comes on between half 7 and 8 for about 45 minutes or so then the main act at about half 9 for about 2 hours. But i suppse it depends on how many support acts there are.
If your not sure then ring the venue who will be able to tell you.

thanks guys

devilwoman- all it says on the tickets is 7pm. doesn't state whether this is start time (i assumed) or door opening time

cheers

Hi

If your tickets say 7 it'll definitely mean doors open at 7. I've been to many many gigs and the tickets always show the door time.

Like souldriver said earlier, the main band don't usually hit the stage till around 9, so if your tickets say 7, there's no need to get there any earlier.

Enjoy the gig!
