Hello there,

This is really vague - I am trying to find the composer of some music that was released in the last two years or so and played until quite recently all the time on Classic FM.

It can only be described as a cross between Gregorian music with a Jazz saxophone or clarinet. The piece is very relaxed classics and was played as background music on the Bill Oddie wildlife programme last night.

Sorry that is all I have as a clue to its identity - can anyone help?

It is probably Jan Garbarek with the Hilliard Ensemble - from the album Officium.

Beautiful music.

Machcoul,

You are brilliant - thank you so much for your prompt response and this is indeed the music I have been searching for.

My mother-in-law died on Monday and I felt this music would be beautiful as part of the service but was at a loss as to who the composer was. You have saved me a lot of web trawling and I thank you so very much.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Glad to be of help.
