Why, so it was Ivan, I hadn't realised.
Yes, Ol' Tezza used to pop round all the time - you know, to borrow a cup of sugar, or a couple of quid to see him through 'til payday.
I clearly remember him telling me, as he clutched the two tea-bags and the bitty remains from our near-empty packet of cornflakes that he was 'borrowing', (you know, just until he got a chance to do some shopping), about some poor old gentleman-of-the-road who had been murdered down our way.
I don't know why people were making the potentially libellous inference that I was talking about Lennon....

I have absolutely no idea what The Beatles' taste in music is (well, two that are left at least). I know what music they produced, but not what their personal 'tastes' were.
And can someone's taste in music be inferior to another's anyway?

Good job we're not totally overrun with fawning, obsessive Beatles fans, as all the Fab Four would probably have been shot by now.

I come to that conclusion because the music of 'The Beatles' is the greatest music there is. That is not my opinion, it is a fact. You may not agree, but that just means your wrong. You find it funny that he was shot do you? Well, it is a good job you were not here in front of me, as you would not say that to my face.
How do you explain 'A day in the life', 'In my life', 'Help', 'Ticket To Ride', 'I am the walrus', 'Yesterday', 'We can work it out', 'Hey jude', and two hundred other Beatle Classics? People like you, who dont like them, never mention these songs do you? You only mention their weakest tracks. However, I like 'Ob-la-Di-Ob-la-Da', and even that is better than most bands greatest tracks.
