. . . in the Eurovision Song Contest tonight, here's proof that traditional café singing is still alive and well in France.

This is 13-year-old Lohi Coffinot in the semi-final of last year's French version of the Voice Kids. He sings in the style of Jacques Brel and his performance is utterly superb, in my humble opinion:

What an amazing voice - thanks for sharing it :-)h
Yes, he is excellent.

But, lest we forget:

Jacques Brel Chris? Dear me no.

He's got a pleasant voice for a child.
The only thing I enjoyed about the French entry was waiting with bated breath to see if shed have a wardrobe malfunction!

The first thing I thought of when they were talking about her was Madame Edith on 'Ello, 'Ello!
Don't know why we patronize it.
That was lovely.
I didn't watch it, never do, but I assume the french kid won. If so, I wonder if St Winifreds School Choir are still going?
Chris only posted as an example of singing he enjoyed. Not as a critique on competitions.
Not knocking Chris, just the competition
