Yes, Rod Stewart
You mean 'have I told you lately'?
The only song I know of that title was written and sung by Van Morrison
Also sang by Van Morrison around 1990 I think
It was on Rod's album Vagabond Heart, which was released in 1991. The version which made the charts was from his live album Unplugged... and Seated
Van Morrison wrote it and recorded it in 1989. Elvis never sung it
Go on Wikipedia, postie. There are two versions listed. The Elvis version is titled Have I Told You Lately That I Love You? and the Rod Stewart version is listed as a cover of the Van Morrison track Have I Told You Lately.
This is confusing. Arent there 2 different songs - the one written in the 1940s that Elvis and Gene Autrey and lots of others did and then the Van Morrison song which is the one a Rod did unless he also did the other one too
You are right, bobbinwales, Elvis released that in 1957
Elvis died in 1977 . The Van Morrison song that Rod covered in 1991/92 or 93 was written in 1980s so Elvis never sung it
Jim Reeves released it in 1964, lovely version.

@postman44 Can you please post the exact wording of the question? Thanks.
Have the given yesterdays answer postman??
Answer was Willie Nelson according to Postman44 thread today.
Odd as Willie Nelsons was 1957 . Maybe it were reissued or rerecorded in 1991 but can't find a record of such a release?
Ricky Nelson, said postman44 on the other thread.

Seems again there was a typo of the date in the question asked above.
oops. Sorry. Dont know why i typed Willie instead of Ricky. Ricky was 1957
