I was sent home from Boots as a dispenser on the 31/7/20 as I was feeling unwell and had a raised temperature ( felt like poop to be honest), and went straight away to a COVID test centre to be tested. This came back inconclusive two days later so went back and had another one which came back negative. By now I started to feel really ill and have to admit I have never felt this ill before. High temperature, chills, no appetite, constant cough.
Spoke to Dr and he said I have an Upper respiratory tract infection put me on Amoxicillin and a sick note for a week. By now I had a week off from work ( was told I had been covered till the Friday ) and then had a sick note till 16/7/20 . Dr suggested I had another COVID test which I have so now waiting for results to come through.
But I’m still feeling pretty rough and think I might need another course of antibiotics and another sick note, but not sure on how I stand on sick pay as Boots where the ones who sent me home
Never had time off work before or claimed sick pay

As Boots are a large employer, look at your contract/staff hand book, which should tell you how many weeks sick leave you will get on full pay. I would expect, however long it is, they will require a certificate after the first 7 days. It will not make any difference that they sent you home
This may help you.
