Paul Anka wrote you don't matter anymore for Buddy Holly. What was his biggest hit.

Would you say Diana or My way. A bit confused how question is worded. Thanks

I would say 'Diana' given the loose question.
He didn't actually write "My Way". He just supplied English lyrics to an original French song: "Comme d'habitude".
Diana.
"Puppy Love" shifted a few units too.
It did Jim, without the query being more specific I guess you make your choice.

Puppy Love

// Paul Anka's version reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 behind Percy Faith's "Theme from A Summer Place" and No. 33 on the UK Singles Chart.//
Nitpickery - Paul Anka wrote "It Doesn't Matter Anymore".

There is a "You Don't Matter Anymore" by Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, but that would be a whole other kettle of fish (or something...I guess...).

My answer would be "Diana".
Paul Anka's biggest "hit" or at least the most played may well be the theme tune for the Johnny Carson show. He wrote it as a favour when Carson was unknown. Great artist or another time, and a gent.

Worth a quick scan.

or another time=of another time....sorry.
No idea why it was duplicated, were I doing the quiz I know which answer I would put.
My Way is his most famous song, but Diana sold bucketloads. It Doesn't Matter Anymore, wasn't that big a hit initially, but had the "fortune" of being the one that was out when Holly died, which is the only reason it was a bigger hit.
Puppy Love must be close to being his biggest hit, Donny Osmond reached number one in the UK, Canada and Australia and number 3 in the US in 1972 with it.
