Are you going to watch it Rosie? It's on all week if you can't watch it now. I've got it on now, such a beautiful production.
LB... that's the version from around 2006.
Mia Persson and Anke Vondung.

Best version of "Soave Sia Il Vento" everrrrrrrrrr ;o)
cosi fan tutte translates as All the women are doing it!

Agree, also Best Trio Ever in my book Builder, just so beautiful and so moving. I see 2,800 watching last time I looked. Bit disappointing?
I know JD, good innit.
I am watching it now. But didn't realise it was on all week. Thank you.
I keep fofgdtting about the National Theatre at Home productions. Tom Hicddlestone in Coriolanus atm.
Wonderful!
thank you Ladybirder....

I had a 40 year anniversary/reunion this weekend for my fellow alumni from London Business School....one of us, well I knew that he played piano but how about this and Rachmaninov too (as an amateur soloist as well)? Few of us had any idea that he had this sort of talent!

The orchestra is the Singapore National....
How we national to play like that and get a reception like they. Loved the sunflowers too !
Wonderful not national !

It certainly is Jim.
DT I'll have a listen to that when Cosi has finished. Looking forward to it, my uncle was the classical music critic for his local newspaper, also a piano teacher.
very many thanks
very thoughtful to give us olds a jog
C F T - delightful .

WOW DT, that was wonderful, well worth the listen, such a talented man. What is his name? Has he been asked to go back again and has he been asked to play elsewhere? Was that a recent performance? Sorry for all the questions.
Yes, pretty recent, total amateur, musical scholarship to Cambridge along with one in Nat Sciences - told by his music tutor that he was good but wouldn't cut it as a professional, Charles Cousins is his name and lives out there. Repeats, I don't know. Was at London Business School with me.
Huge talent.
Question Author
Agree Rosie.
Will you see him again DT?
well certainly on Zoom as we all agreed that it was pretty effective as to a get-together to catch up and not to wait for five years. We also understand that the School is trying to fix a date for us next year for a physical reunion.....whether he makes it, we will see. There was a class of 98, only 3 expired and we managed around 50-55 on Zoom over two sessions, one at midday to cover EU/Far East and then a second one at 6 for the EU/Americas. " East Coast Americans made it to the 1st one and one Indian to the second.

The only other person that I know who could play Rachmaninov's 2 and 4 like that was at school with me and he had an LRCM awarded before A-levels. He went to Cambridge as well, reading the same as CHarlie, Nat. Sciences and, in his case, on a King's Organ Scholarship - Organ was his great love but a prodigious musician overall.

That's brilliant for all of you DTC, big up for the latest technology. I thought the beautiful piano he played (so beautifully), the Singapore National Orchestra and the acoustics in that hall all combined to make it well worth keeping which I shall do. I can have a listen every now and again and enjoy it all over again. Thank you.
