I'm trying to think of really great songs that were one hit wonders. Things like Video Killed the Radio Star. Real classics that everyone loves. Any ideas?!

I'm not sure there are any tunes EVERYBODY loves, but here are some of my favourites...

Stan Ridgeway- Camouflage
Wah- Story Of The Blues
The Maisonettes- Heartache Avenue
Danny Wilson- Mary's Prayer
Fiction Factory- Feels (Like Heaven)

A few of them had minor hits afterwards (or under different names in the case of Wah) but none darkened the top 10 ever again.

It depends what is considered a one-hit wonder. If an act has one top five hit and a follow up that stalls at no 67, they really are a one hit wonder for all intents and purposes.

There are a few highly successful acts who are one hit wonders in the UK: John Denver (Annie's Song), Harry Chapin (W.O.L.D.) and Journey (Don't Stop Believing) spring to mind.

Cat's in the Cradle was in the top 10 for Chapin, even in the UK (No 1 in the States).
