Who sang the cover of Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix at the UK Music Hall Of Fame? It wasn't a patch on the great man's version but I'm curious as to who was singing it. Thanks.

Sorry, I meant Marmalade, don't know what I was thinking about earlier, Marmalade toured with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Lovin' Things got to No 6 in May 1968.
Yes it was Steve Winwood , not sure where marmalade come into it :o)
Winwood featured on Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" album for anyone that's interested.
it was stevie winwood, late of the spencer davis group and traffic
in fact the leaves were the 1st band to release hey joe closely followed by love,the origin of the song is somewhat cloudy as many garage bands performed it live in the mid 60s
