ermintrude35 wow, love the doors entry. Some absolute belters there, very impressed, very impressed. Anyone else like the intro track on the Prodigy Album Music for the Jilted Generation???
Superstition- Stevie Wonder.Turn it up loud!!

One of the best intros to a song ever is Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera.

Agree with quite a few of Ermintrude's. Good list!

Oasis - Morning Glory is another good one.

As it's my favourite song, another great intro has to be The Only One I Know by The Charlatans.

Have just listened to the Prodigy intro you mentioned. It's a bit weird, but another good 'un is No Good (start the dance). Gets you going as soon as you hear it!

I'm sure there are loads more...I'll be thinking about this all night now!

Question Author
paddy_36 Love the intro to Phantom of the Opera, classic. Prodigy, yeah, bit weird but thought different, try Spitfire from their latest album

Hi shiznit, love Spitfire! Best song on the new album. Glad you like Phantom, it's got to be near the top, if not number one, of a best intros list.

More good intros - The Who, Won't Get Fooled Again

Van Halen - On Fire. Total class!

Question Author
Hi paddy_36, The Who, now your talking. You gotta hear Spitfire live, with Maxim doing vocals, excellant. What about Imigrant Song, Led Zepplin

I'm ashamed to say I hadn't heard Immigrant Song before, but I've just 'acquired' it (ahem). Brilliant track! Thanks for that.

And another great intro - Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers.

I'm going now, before I hijack this question completely!
