I just want to know what ‘Shamoh’ means.
His music
Why does this surprise everyone.

It was well known he was a kiddie fiddler years ago, but many refused to hear it.
indeed - for what are rolf harris, gary glitter and jonathan king better known?
Both. But bad things do stick in the mind.
It'll be the music, not the paedophila. His music is still played very often, whereas, you'll never, every hear Gary Glitter's. He was never convicted, either, so there will always be folk that don't believe it.
I was never that interested in his music but it was always widely enjoyed and I expect people will still listen to it, as I still listen to Jonathan King's and Rolf Harris's.
Probably both.

Wagner is still rightly remembered for his wonderful music, but is also remembered for his anti-Semitism.

It is interesting that a non-convicted individual like Jackson still has his music played worldwide, but Gary Glitter's music is airbrushed from the collective consciousness, which is a shame, I would love to play his records at my discos, but haven't risked it yet.
His music as he wasn't convicted.
ummmm - // His music as he wasn't convicted. //

It comes down to the age-old question - can you separate the artist from the art?

I can - and do - millions can't, and don't.
But he wasn't convicted of anything.

Me - suspect he's guilty but would I turn the radio off if a MJ song came on - No. Wouldn't listen to Gary Glitter though.
neither was Jimmy Savile, I suppose, ummmm, but they don't repeat segments of TOTP that he was on, and I imagine most people would switch off if they did.
"I just want to know what ‘Shamoh’ means."

It's just how he sings "Come on".
Jimmy Savile had too many victims come forward with loads of believable evidence.

Never liked Rolf Harris. I seen him at Glastonbury and the crowds weren't shouting anything positive
People still listen to Wagner, a hideous antisemite if ever there was one!

where is this new documentary?
So no one knows what ‘Shamoh’ means?
It's as Jim said above.

Various sources...

//Shamone comes from the Michael Jackson song "Bad" released in 1987. It is a distinctive deliberate mispronunciation of "come on" used frequently by Jackson, occasionally spelt "cha'mone", "jamone" or more commonly "shamone"...
