Debbie Gibson is a musician who broke through in 1987 as a teenage pop star. Her first two albums went multi-platinum but her third record, "Anything is Possible", intended to transition her music and image away from that of a teen idol and expand her audience, flopped, selling only 500,000 copies with her next album "Body Mind Soul" doing even more poorly.

If you were ever a fan of Debbie Gibson and owned her first two records but didn't buy the third or fourth, what were your reasons? If you didn't own the first two albums but bought the third or fourth, what were your reasons for that? And if you weren't interested before and these albums didn't entice you, why was that?

Never heard of her as far as I can recall.
But there again, pop stars come and pop stars go.
You are saying she hit the UK charts, presumably.
I have never heard of her but as she was/is American it is possible she did not make an impact here in the UK. You may be better off on an American site.
She had a hit with Only In My Dreams, but aside from that, she did nothing here.
I thought she was in Grease as Sandy in the West End. Perhaps I'm mistaken. I seem to think I saw her in it and she was pretty good.
Her name rings a bell but her music doesn't with me.
She was the same time as Tiffany I think we’re alone now but the song and her was not as memorable
