why bother i ask myself, not sure about the flattery part, its pretty ugly by the looks of it.
A taste of one's own medicine (as it were) is no flattery.

I think the idea behind it was to trigger Khant to stop it thus enabling howls of 'hypocrite'.

As I said above, I think that is the real reason behind this. To refuse would mean Khan is a hypocrite.

If I was him I would approve it then go and be photo'd alongside it with a big grin, treating it as a good joke and proving you are a good sport. Takes the wind out of their sails.
