I'm always playing Crime of the Century album in my car - although I do tend to play only School and Hide in my Shell and skip the rest unless I'm on a longer journey.
I saw them at Reading Festival in 1975, I clearly recall John Peel's introduction - "And now one of the best bands you're going to see this weekend, it's Supertramp."

And he was right.

I saw them that autumn on tour, they were supported by a newly signed unknown acoustic artist called Joan Armatrading.

I saw Joan Armatrading at Guilfest. After she sang Love and Affection which we had all be waiting for she said "OK, you can all go home now"
(Radio Jackie)

Is this radio station anything to do with that magazine of the same name that a lot of teenage girls of the 1960's / 70's used to buy ?.

Noo - Radio Jackie was much cooler than that. It started as a pirate station (along with Caroline and all the others) Jackie used to do test transmissions in Bushy Park (down the road from here) whilst avoiding the authorities. Now they are official, and they are one of the best stations around
Ah glad to hear that, 237SJ.

When i was in the army, i played Crime Of The Century to death. If my friends didn't hear it coming from my room at least once every couple of days, they would assume i was ill.
