Yes and in the end he (probably) committed suicide.

Wrote some lovely folk songs back on the 1960s early 1970s but was reluctant to promote them as he was very shy on stage.

He also spent ages on stage between each song retuning his guitar so he did not have much of an "act".

Also of course loads of other great acts around during that period so his music just got "lost" at the time.

He died in 1974.
