....By Hypognosis - I wanted to add thanks to ABerrant for that link - a good find and lovely listening too.

I would have added to the thread but no facility showing to do so.

Felt it fair you were thanked.

Don't understand Mamya,...can you post link to thread please?

The thread directly below this one Baths.
Nothing to thank him/her for Mamya. The track I specified was not in the play loop at that website. The BBC have used it loads of times over the past ten years and I made a (seemingy) simple request for title and artist, not 45 minutes, fishing for a thing which isn't there on some website someone wanted to promote.

Other music request threads get proper answers, why not mine?

They were rude to me first. Am I not allowed some kind of payback?

Question Author
They were rude to you first?? Utter tosh.

You were belligerent in reply and no one deserves payback - on a Q&A site you take your chances.
My thread got locked *very* quickly. I guess I've got up a moderator's nose.

No titles/artists at that website. When we find this track, let me play it to you, then you show me where this linked site has it. Deal?
Question Author
By the way, I shall thank who I wish to if I feel they have posted something good.
Question Author
Moderators cannot lock threads - I suggest if you are aggrieved you take it up with management - though in truth I doubt folk will be rushing to answer any queries you have in future for fear of a lambast rather than a polite reply.
Be my guest.

So which track number is the one with the flute in it? I am not interested in the custom-made incidental music at that site. I suspect it is by a named artist. Moby, maybe?

I sought help because I can't plough through entire back catalogues of artistes I don't know well. Why do you think I asked the question?

If I'd not asked, you'd not be thanking them for their non-answer (to me).

I lambasted a NON reply. Do you not understand?

I thank people when they read my question properly. I am especially grateful if they write a bespoke reply, containing googleable phrased, which assist other music seekers. Not links for me to fish in.

Question Author
Hypognosis, I'll say this one - I have thanked ABerrant for an interesting link with some nice sounds relevant to the programme that I enjoyed.

I feel dreadful for you that it did not fully satisfy your query but your reaction was churlish in my mind , something which irks me greatly.

In future perhaps preface your questions with a warning that all who fail to answer satisfactorily best stand back and await the brickbats.

Is googleable a word?

Definition of googleable. A phrase structured in such a way as to be conducive to being found on Google.
No Baths, not at present. Give it a couple of years and you'll see it in the OED I'm sure. Full credit to Hypognosis!
Seems I'm wrong. Oops.
Looked in the wrong dictionary.

Hypo failed to provide a link to the programme on that thread.......

However, I've done some detective work and believe it to be All Things To All Men by the Cinematic Orchestra. If so, how do I claim my prize?
@ChillDoubt

Yep, *that* one. You Da Man!

I posted the OP while the prgram was still being transmitted. I couldn't link to iPlayer and some programmes take their sweet time about materialising. I had to write the bit about "40 minutes in" before the day was out or I would have forgotten by the morning.

I apologise to all and sundry for my impatience in setting the question and being so narrow in what was acceptable as an answer but my threads routinely get shunned on this site and, once knocked off the unanswered tab, it would have drifted into obscurity. Like I said, this track has been popping up on TV for years and it drives me bonkers the way the beeb continually refuses to list simple minutes:seconds artist/title. Their producers love their favourite music, use it everywhere but won't credit it so we can find it and buy it.

Now I can chill out, thanks to ChillDoubt. How cool is that?
