aww my mum loved him - forever and ever and ever and ever you'll beeee the one - lol i heard that soooo much - such a shame, he gave my mum so much joy listening to him
Oh no! Really sad hearing this news, i really really did like him. I just found this out on f/book a minute ago. I went to his concert a few yrs ago, and cried all the way through it, was so touching, the orchestra, and his fabulous songs. That news has spoilt my day. R.I.P Demis
I've cried many times while listening to him singing while closing my eyes with my head phones on. I have most of his old cassette tapes, wouldnt part with them .
Very strange. I had a thought about him this morning i.e. , that he had died, so I checked online and found out he was still alive. Then, wham... 2-3 hours later, we hear he's dead. RIP.
Thats weird janbe.
We will be together when forever has gone...Condolences to the family. x
I can`t think of Demis Roussos without thinking of Abigail`s Party

I was in Menton, South of france in 1976 when i very first heard him sing, and he has been singing in my ears ever since. I feel choked.
Goodbye Demis, R I P.
Took Mrs Sqad to the Inn on the Park, mid-70's for dinner and on the next table also dining was Demis Roussos and Neil Sedaka.

Just a bit of useless information......
RIP Demis.
Thats a good memory Sqad, wish it was mine too.
We saw him and his wife at the stage door coming out of the Albert Hall.
Huge crowds and wonderful atmosphere. We were only a yard or two away ..so so lucky.
RIP Demis
I was never really keen on him as a solo artist but, when i was in the army in the 70's, one of my friends had a couple of albums by a Greek band named Aphrodite's Child, of which Demis was bass guitarist and lead vocalist (Vangelis was also a member) Being heavily into prog rock, myself, i enjoyed listening to the band on numerous occasions, yet never bought any of their music, for whatever reason.

RIP
RIP Demis
I also was a keen fan but very disappointed when we paid mega bucks to see him live in Abu Dhabi and he mimed. Another time on tv he wore a mini dress and knee high boots he did look a plonker much preferred him in his kaftan. RIP Demis you certainly had a unique voice.
Had my first big romance in the magical hot summer of 76, and Demis was the background music to that and into the autumn of that year! Every time I hear "Forever" it takes me back in time and i can practically smell the sun :-)
Back in the seventies I was visiting two elderly aunts who lived in N Ireland. Demis Roussos was on the television and one aunt said "Hasn't he got a lovely voice?" and the other aunt said "Yes and he always wears such lovely Frocks".
RIP
Bless ;-) Wherabouts in N.I. Vulcan btw
