Who is the best Local band you have seen? They do not have to be playing now ,so a band who you really rate maybe you think they should have made it they might just be a great night out ,please have a good think ,I would like to write about the local music scene ,there are probably have hundreds of musicians up and down the country rehearsing night after night driving hundreds of miles in a van all cramped together with all the gear, I for the record miss it so much. Stopping of a the motorway services at 2am,then the next night back to your local pub gigging again. Then the drummer says he is leaving because someone else has offered him an extra 50p a night ,the singer is moaning he says he cannot hear himself, the Bass player complains as he cannot understand why he cannot sing lead on a few songs .Finally surprise, surprise, the lead guitarist is is missing just when it's time to load the van typical .

Local - our local Ska band, Hey Rudi http://heyrudi.com/
Ghost Of An American Airman, a Belfast band who gigged regularly and looked like they might make it when they got an American college tour. Used to watch them in the Errigle Inn every Tuesday night, and even travelled to Dublin to see them. A shame they never got the success they deserved.

Perhaps if they had been vacuous one trick X-Factor generation ponies?

henry mccullough, whi is sadly in hospital having suffered a heart attack
Read that on the NI news earlier Sib. Very sad, although he did get his deserved moment in the spotlight with Wings. On the downside, the food was veggie.
Other Belfast bands from way back then that I liked Ashanti, The Mighty Fall, Haze, Sweet Savage and Sk'boo. Any ulsterfolk on here remember any of them?
I loved the Dubliners was lucky enough to see them in Howth in the early days, Luke Kelly, amazing voice
Two bands from Liverpool from the 70s/80s I thought should've "made it" Export and Up & Running.
