I teach a girl who has to sing a Blues song (any) on Monday at a kind of music club. She is a good singer but has a very low voice. She won't know any old/obscure blues songs, as she is only 14. She has asked me for ideas of what she could do- and obviously needs ideas asap!! I'd be very grateful if you could think of a simple but nice blues song suitable for a low-voiced girl. I suggested Alicia Keys and Boyz2Men, and "End of the Line" by the Honeyz, but she needs something a bit easier really.

HELP!! Thanks!xxx

What about What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong? I know its ancient, but it has been used in a lot of ads and commercials in the past few years and its quite low.
theres a really good one unfortunatly i cant member the name or singer of it but the chorus goes something like ...cos im .........kissing ..you  ohhh i member its called kissing you by des'ree yeah there u go ..its a really beautiful song..
What about Alison Moyet's version of 'That ole devil called love', not too old so should be easy to get hold of.

Any Nina Simone song - perhaps My Baby Just Cares For Me or Feeling Good. The latter may be familiar to her if she's ever heard the Muse cover version.

Hope this isn't too late but try "one Night" by Etta James - a beautiful slow blues ballad. It's on the album Seven Year Itch ... In fact come to think of it - anything by Etta James would do the trick ...
