The new Akon song Lonely - which goes like "Lonley, I'm so lonely, I have nobody, for my own" - does anyone know what the original song was?

The sample is a speeded-up version of a song called Mr Lonely, a US number one in about 1962 by Bobby Vinton (he of Blue Velvet fame).
