Why is this section called CD's, DVD's, Videos? Shouldn't it be CDs, DVDs, Videos?

As CD is short for Compact Disc etc, letters are missing, hence the apostrophe.
...but that would make it C'D's, D'V'D's, Videos
yes it should be without the apostrophes!! arrrghh hadnt noticed that until you pointed it out, now it's going to annoy me!

Sorry, but I disagree. There shouldn't be an apostrophe in either CDs or DVDs.

The apostrophe used between a word and the s indicates ownership so in CD's and DVD's it doesn't make any sense, and if it is to show missing letters it should be how Pottsy said and CD would become C'D' and DVD D'V'D' whether they were plural or not!
Pottsy's right. No apostrophes in a straight plural.
This from wikipedia:

An exception can also be made for numbers and abbreviations, although some consider this old fashioned, illogical and unnecessary.

"I bought many CD's in the 1990's." Correct.
"I bought many CDs in the 1990s." Also correct and more modern.

Hmm, Wikipedia. Can't anybody edit it, whether correctly or incorrectly?
