What would be the best way to clean CD records to rid them of dust? No stains whatsoever, just dust. I'm thinking of simply taking a cleaning cloth for glasses to them but I'm not sure how prone they are to abrasion; would it be better just do dip them in lukewarm water or something ha ha...

Water will be fine - then wipe gently with lint-free cloth (micro-fibre are good) <b>from centre to edge</b>, not with a circular motion.
Dust ?!? You worry to much. Just wipe them gently with a cloth preferably from centre to outside edge.
