Honda Accord 'Is Safest Large Family Car'

16:36 Mon 24th May 2010 |

Honda is one of the world’s leading car manufacturers. The company believes that well made products will sell themselves and this is certainly true from their range of vehicles to their customer service. One of the aspects Honda is most noted for is their commitment to making their vehicles safer.

This has been borne out by recent research which shows that the Honda Accord recorded the best combined safety rating in its category in the most recent Euro NCAP crash tests. Driving away with the first-ever three-star pedestrian score in the large family class, the vehicle was also awarded four stars for child protection and five for adult safety.

The Accord offers a comprehensive list of safety features, including a collision mitigation braking system, dual-stage front airbags and active head restraints. Customers can choose the option of two diesel or two petrol engine models all of which come with the Honda advanced pedestrian safety system and ISOFIX childseat restraint mechanism.

Commenting on the updated Honda Accord, the manufacturer's managing director in the UK said: "Customers can experience the most effective safety technologies put into practice, with our goal of providing safety for everyone."
