Bentley Makes Its Arnage Final Series

16:36 Mon 24th May 2010 |

Bentley is synonymous with luxury and quality and the Arnage range is no exception. Bentley cars have been made famous by association with the James Bond books and The Avengers’ John Steed. For a while the Arnage was the most powerful and fastest four door saloon on the market.

Bentley has announced the launch of the Arnage Final Series, an exclusive run of cars that will celebrate the last of the Arnage badge. Motorists can pick up one of the 150 vehicles and head on to the open road with their car insurance, combining the refinement of the R model with the performance of the T, the manufacturer claims, offering a combination of class and power.

The firm describes the vehicle as the endpoint of 90 years of its heritage, marking the 50th anniversary of its V8 engine. The chairman and chief executive of Bentley said: "For ten years, Arnage has enjoyed extraordinary success at the pinnacle of the luxury saloon market."

He added that the Final series marks a celebration of the era before the firm moves on to the next generation of its flagship car. The roots of the company stretch back to 1919, when WO Bentley developed the three-litre engine at his service shop in New Street Mews.
