Speed trap in a "Clearway"

A clearway is maked with a round sign blue background and red cross and outline. This means no stopping. Why can 2 speed trap vans park in the central reservation on a duel carriageway one facing each way to trap speeders ?

Because they can. How else can they enforce the law?

A lot of speed camera vans park in illegal and dangerous positions.

If they are in the central reservation, they are not obstructing the flow on the clearway, so what is the problem?

As stated, a lot do park illegally but there is no reason why they can't be reported.

You should take a picture of them and send it to either The Sun or the Daily Mail newspapers.

why do they have the right to catch folk breaking the law when they have to break the law to be in a positon to do so?? no wonder so many folk have so much apathy towards them
