Can someone please tell me if a private parking firm are allowed to issue you with a fine without providing evidence for the contraventiion? My colleague parked her car and the next day she received a 100 fine for displaying the ticket upside down. The firm will not send me any evidence and they will not even discuss this matter unless we send them full payment first. Is this legal?

tell them you refuse to unless they can provide evidence that they are genuine company and that an offence was committed.

they must prove it was upside down surely...

it could be a scam

I have never heard of anyone being ticketed for displaying their parking ticket upside down......!!!!!! so long as its valid, then that fine...
Dont pay....get them to provide proof that it was not valid...and ask them for proof that it is illegal to display ticket upside down......
What a load of idiots these warden/companies can be.....
