buying car tax with no log book or reminder

I have bought a new car the weekend with no tax and need to tax it but did not make a note of reference number and dont have a tax reminder form.

I dont want to wait for the new log book how do I do it?

you should have the part of log book that you need to send off?

you can then use that and complete a form at post office. Youll need MOT and insurance certificate with you as well
