I took a medical for an application to drive an lgv today everything was fine except for one thing my blood pressure was sky high , its normally high ish but nothing to drastic
140/90/
but as always with tests of any sort it went up and up and unfortunatly thats the figure that had to be recorded !
180/120

anyone have any ideas on what the possible effects this could have on my application !

I am fairly fit, a little overwieght but get plenty of excersise

i would be less worried about the application and more worried about getting to the GP. You are making an assumption that your bp went up because is was being taken (white coat syndrome) but you really don't know that. Are you having any treatment/seeing anyone for it? 180/120 is dangerously high as you probably know

Thanks for your reply bednobs , I am fairly sure it is stress realated(possible white coat)

I passed a medical in january,

I test my BP regularly at home , and as i siad its normally around the 140 over 90,
and was still until a few days before the medical , at which point it started to go up, and is now coming down again ,

the doctor has requested more tests to which i have agreed ,

so its realy just a case of how the dvla will react to this high reading ,
They'll probably contact your GP and ask for further details. Something similar happened to me when I renewed mine a few years ago. They did allow me to carry on driving, though. If yours is a new application, it may well delay it.
