Tax on a converted van to camper

this may seem silly but im new to all this. i would like to buy a Van (probably a LDV of Ford Transit) to convert into a camper van. any idea how much the road tax would be for such thing and what category it will fall under?

Hi Tazzy, I converted a VW LT van into a Motorcaravan, and the Road Tax remained the same as when it was a van-curently £185. 00 per year. I would choose the Transit over the LDV- Transits are much quieter on the road than the smaller diesel (Pilot) LDV's- you will also get much more choice of van, and availability of spares is much better- I think LDV may have ceased trading lately?
