Hi,

I am considering purchasing a new car soon but have the following query.

I have been driving for 11 years, for the last 3 years I have been driving company cars for several different companies, prior to this I was a named driver for a couple of years, then prior to that I was on a company insurance policy.

Now I am looking at quotes and can't really provide confirmation of any of this as no claims bonus?

It seams a little unfair that as a driver of 11 years without any claims I have to start from scratch...pushing prices up considerably.

Any advice guys??

My partner got his last company to send a letter to the insurance company to confirm he had been driving a company car for two years and they accepted that as no claims proof, be careful on the compare websites as they will not give you the correct price if guessing how many no claims you have.
Yes, and, from an HR perspective, I've been involved in supplying to former employees who had company cars a letter confirming how long they had a company car and that there were no claims in this time.
It is my understanding that it won't get you an equivalent number of years credit - but some token discount of perhaps 1 or 2 years NCB.

Thanks, the problem I have is that some of the jobs I have been doing didn't last a full year.

Looks like I will be able to prove 1 year!!

Gutted.
