I recently had my 02 Corsa serviced (at the dealer) and it came back with the following needing doing

Drive Shaft Boot - Left Inner Damaged / N/S Drive Shaft
and estimating 191.53 to do it.

I'm trying to get a breakdown of the cost but is that right for replacing just the boot? How long should that job take?

They are taking the PS, to do the job including the grease which is a small amount + time around about 60 in a small family run garage, I take it you had taken the car to the dealership? regards the service, the only difference in taking the car to a dealer is the stamp, it will have a Vauxhall stamp on it, With respect to you, look around, you will get your car serviced far cheaper with, from your request use genuine parts 1/2 the cost. Think ahead.
cost of a boot is around 15,
it can be a bit difficult to get the thing off the car, but i have done it twice - so it didn't cost much at all,
funny how it is mostly the inner one that goes first.
shop around for a better price as TWR suggests.
Good luck
a couple of hours at 70 per hour + parts + VAt can quite easily be 191.53.
Being an inner one requires removal of the d/shaft which isnt a 2 minute job, but again a small reputable garage or even a mobile mechanic would do it cheaper than a dealer, would of thought under 100.00
