I've just bought a cheap car for my son to learn to drive in but it only has one key and has an immobiliser fitted. Do I have any alternatives other than to order another key from Renault which will probably cost nearly as much as the car did???

Go and speak to your local locksmith or key cutter.

If he can't do it, he will know someone who can, cheaper than the main dealer.

The older the car, the cheaper and easier it will be.
