Hi All,

Quick question, I have a VW Passat, and my water coolant bottle has a reddish liquid, know its specialist for VW, however with the winter coming in, do I need to add anti freeze or is this included in the fluid already?
Also I go away for 2 weeks shortly, and with the winter months coming in, car is staying at hotel at airport for the 2 weeks- is there anything to be wary of with leaving a car for 2 weeks especially during the winter, know the battery may need a jump but other then that anything else to be wary off? know the oil wont freeze in 2 weeks but any issues?

Thanks

Hi, If you leave the car for 2 weeks at the A/Port try and face the car away from the wind, cover the Engine with a blaket or some sort of padding ( But make sure you leave a note for yourself on the dash to remind you of the Blaket within the engine bay. regards the battery check the cells (IF ANY ) and top up with distilled water, regards the coolant you can get a strength checker from you local Auto Spares shop but yours seem to be right.
