Hi Ethel. Don't know if you remember, but i posted a question in August about receiving what i thought to be an unfair parking ticket? You kindly referred me to some helpful forums, and i was all set to fight it, but in the end i lost my nerve and paid up.
After reading this article in my local paper last night, i'm glad i did! http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-feature s/8/news/15246/parking-penalty-just-judge-rule s

That is a very interesting link, thanks, bathsheba.

Could you keep me updated if there is any further development reported in your paper, if the driver appeals?

Thanks, sweetie

Combined Parking Solutions- initials CPS. Underhand and sneaky choice of name for the company in my opinion. x
I thought exactly the same thing about the CPS name.

This isn't a 'trivial' case by any means - it is a landmark case and will have ramifications at a time when the government is considering 'clamping down' on these private parking enforcers.

I hope he does appeal to get a legally binding opinion from a higher court.
