hi ,can anyone tell me were i could get a screwdriver to take off the trim from inside my car,it looks like a philips screw but has more points(like a star) on it ,are they available to the public...thanks..

sounds like a 'TORX' screw, yep , they are available, quite common on cars these days T15/T20/T25 etc...
make sure its the right one as some of the screws have a pin in the centre which require a hole in the centre of the screwdriver to fit it
I would say its more likely to be a Pozidrive, that looks like a Phillips but has more points like a star
