I'm currently with Saga, but that's only because I was offered a good deal allowing me to pay my car insurance and breakdown insurance together for about 16 per month all in.

However, prior to that, I was with Autonational Rescue. Over the years, I've called them out on several occasions and I've always been satisfied with their service. They've recently been voted as the best value for money service by readers of Auto Express. Their average response time is 42 minutes.

'Total SuperService' (which is what you've said you want) costs just 88 per year. However, if you haven't had a breakdown in the past 12 months, you can join for 66 per year. You keep that 25% no claims discount in future, as long as you don't call them out more than once in any 2 year period. (If you call them out and they take over an hour to get there, it doesn't count against your NCD anyway). New members also get 15 months cover for the price of 12.

Have you got any Tesco clubcard vouchers to use up?

You can get RAC for a quarter of the price if you have.

Its 73 for 12 month cover for a standard policy, cheaper if you do it online. Myself and my partner got joint cover for 90 the other year, for the price and service, you really can't fault them.
Look on Martin Lewis Moneysavingexpert website.
