Our TomTom was fine, no problems. Today it was switched off while we were parked for a short time and now will not come back on at all. It was fully charged, so is not the battery. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it. It is less than a year old.

thanks

May sound obvious, but how long are you holding the button down for? Mine takes ages to come on sometimes.
Have you tried pressing the reset button underneath the unit. You'll need a paperclip or something simular
I had same problem with my TT one....I got annoyed and kept pressing the on/off button it came on and has been OK since. When I mentioned this to someone who knows about electronics he said that there may have been a bit of dirt under the button and by keeping on pressing it I may have cleared the obstruction.
My tom tom one did this - use a paperclip or straightened out hair grip to press the reset button under the device. In fact my tom tom one has done this on no less than four occassions, so i wonder if it is a bit of a problem with these devices. I use my tom tom a lot, so in case it does it again, keep something to depress the reset button with. Once you've done that, and pressed your tom tom on as normal, all should work - and you won't loose your favaroites.
If it was plugged in to the 12v socket when you started the engine you may have suffered a power surge it is always a good idea to unplug everything if none of the other suggestions work get it looked at by an electronics engineer.
