glow plug flashing,accelerator cuts out on focus diesal

when im driving the accelerator just cuts out,engine still ticking over and glow plug light then flashes,turn ignition off the start her up and its fine for about 2 mile,its a ford focus 1.8 td,any ideas thx in advance

Certainly have my focus did exactly the same called in my usual Ford dealers told them the exact same symptoms you have described expecting to see a lot of head scratching but no they knew exactly what I was talking about. A faulty throttle potentiometer was diagnosed and a new one fitted no trouble since and that was over a year ago. No idea of cost though one of the benefits of a company car. Good Luck!
