Anyone know if photocopies of MoT certificate and Insurance certificate are acceptable when applying for renewal of vehicle tax at post office? Thanks

They will only accept originals.
Otherwise you could photocopy your insurance certificate and send the original back for a refund.

Not relevent really, but I just did mine online-all you need is the reference they send you on the rmeinder. You do have to have had new style MOT certificate tho, but you dont need to use any info on it or put in insurance details. I was amazed how easy it was. But then I hate post offices....!
daft thing is they won't accept photocopies yet they know already if you're insured and MOT'd it's all computerised now
erniemorton - I'm "with" teag1rl on this one - I did mine recently on-line and it took me about 2 minutes. If you have the latest type of MOT cert, then do it on-line.
