My breaks sometimes make a squeaking noise. It's not all the time usually after driving a while. I had new break pads and discs about 2 months ago so i don't think they are ready to pack in just yet. The noise is quite loud and was just wondering wether i should take my car into the garage or if there is anything i can do!

dont get me started on squeeky brakes...

my advise would be to not use the brakes...use the car in front to slow you down

essentially, discounting the obvious, ie a fault - which i dont think you have as youve just had them replaced - its just how they are, its a case of living with it
Live with it? don't be daft, it's just brake dust - a common, minor problem that occurs now and then, especially with new brake pads.
If you want to do it properly you strip'em down and clean out the dust in the caliper and from the surface of the brake pads. Alternatively go the jet wash and give the calipers and spaces around them a good power wash - you'll see loads of black water - the dust - coming out and it does no harm to your brakes.
Remember to brake gently to dry them off before hitting the roads.
Hi
Whoever fitted the pads, ask if they have put copperslip/ or similar on the back of the pads? this is the usual answer, unless they have a hard lining on the pads maybe??
im with GSR on this.. copperslip will cure most brake squeaks.
if the discs and pads are new, take the car back to the garage that did the repair..
they should have applied some anti squeak to the back of the new pads.
:-)
well copper slip didnt cure mine and ive been fitting them for 20 years

also the brake dust poster, come on!!! are u on drugs?
copperslip & anti squeal shims! are the proper way of solving this problem.
i've done this for years it always works.
