I have rcently been driving my daughter's Mercedes SLK200 and have loved the automatic transmission. I am now thinking of replacing my Peugeot 206 with something similar but with automatic transmission. I am concerned that this may not be as good on this type of car. Any comments?

the automatic gearbox is very good these days in the newer cars,so you shouldent have any problems when picking a new car out,test drive them first

You could have a look at a VW Polo 1.4 SE 3/5dr Auto. About �11,500 new with metallic paint.
