I have just ordered one and wondered if anyone has got one in their car and what you think of them. It would do away with all the cd's in the car if it works.

Being illegal I have not used one but have heard that they work well.....enough said.....
They work well, and are not illegal for much longer.

There are a lot about. PC world sell them. I didn't realise they were illegal. Surely if you are using them to compile your own cd's all in one place, then they can't be illegal. furrycheeky. Why do you say not for much longer. I really don't know much about them, they just seemed a good idea.
Legal from 8th Dec:

Quality seems to vary according to where you live i.e. London: lots of radio stations= lots of interference
Here in rural Scotland, very few radio stations= good sound/ no interference

Maggie

the illegality was not about the music you were playing it was because it is an FM radio transmitter and therefore potentially could have interfered with other transmissions.

Thank you for that information DrWu. Because there are so many about, it didn't enter my head that they were illegal to use. I will wait untill the 8th to fit it in my car. Hopefully the reception will be good.
