Galaxy temp gauge playing up

hi,
i have a p reg galaxy, and recently the temperature gauge has started to play up.

sometimes it shows normal readings and other times it just sits dead.

what could the problem be, i doubt it that the thermostat has gone as ive just had that fitted a couple months ago.

It is most liikely to be the temprature sensor which is mounted on the engine, only cost �10-�20 to replace.

If your engine is not overheating it will be this.

is it easy to get at or do i have to take it to a garage, will will end up costin �10+200% !!!!
