My girlfriend gets a good deal from Diamond. They only insure women. And a work collegue was quoted well from the new company, sheilas wheels, but I know someone else who found they were not the cheapest but Admiral were.
I really think you just have to plough through as many quotes as you have ptience for.
There are many factors involved. I suggest you ask at least 6 insurance brokers to get you quotes. Each of them should then hunt round for quotes from several insurance companies thus saving you lots of time and effort. Be sure to give each of the brokers exactly the same details.
try www.confused.com they should be helpfull
no - not confused - they might keep on doing that bloody advert.

i trawled websites for hours finding quotes and found the best to be asda, tesco or endsleigh (ive been with all three)

Hi, Tubeway,

I hate their advert aswell but using them saved me a lot of cash!

Try www.tesco.com, they gave my daughter a good deal..

When I first passed my test when I was 17 I had a car already and rang around to be insured the night I passed. I found that Diamond was the most expensive quote I had - quoted me around 1500 for a year third party only - and this was five years ago! I got a really good quote from Budget at around 690 third party fire and theft. Was a bit dubious that because the insurance was so cheap that if I had an accident it would be a struggle to settle it, but when I did have an accident (not my fault!) in my second year of driving they were excellent. One tip - whoever yoiu insure yourself with, do not try to save money by not getting legal cover. It only costs about 20 extra and when I had my accident my legal fees were around 18,000 but luckily I had legal cover. Happy motoring!
