Pollen filter?

I'm getting exhaust type fumes in the cab of my 2002 fiat punto especially when I turn the heat control on, could this be the pollen filter and if so is it a big job? Thanks in advance for anyone who might be able to help.

the pollen filter on my car is a bit like the air filter and its very easy to change.

changing a filter won't stop the fumes coming in. You need to find where the exhaust leak is.

I had a similar problem in my Mazda. Took it to the garage where they changed the filters and all seems to be OK now
